I ocassionally have dreams about my high school sweetheart. I've been married for 16 years. I haven't seen him for 18 years, but recently we found eachother over the internet. We e-mail once in a while just to say hi. By the way, he's married too. Why do we have dreams like this? Could it be because we miss old times??

I often think about the same types of things..... I think it is a yearning for old times when things were easier... And I will hold that no matter how good a marriage is that there's always a little curiousity on what life would be like with someone else....

In some cases it's a dread of "OMG I could have been with THAT!!!!" and in others it's a serious wondering if you could have potentially been happier with another...

It's natural I think.

Be careful on going too far with your new-found contact with your high-school flame though..... I'm sure you don't need to be told that curiousity may be normal and healthy, but edging toward that curiousity can certainly be dangerous...

It's so easy to fantasize about people from afar - you kind of make a dream world for yourself - but it would be so real and disappointing - in actuality. Enjoy the dream! Be glad you have it. I wouldn't do anything about it, though. Mark my words.

We live about 1200 miles away. I'm going through some hard times with my marriage now. I don't think it's that though.

You're probably yearning for simpler times. When you're under stress, I bet it's normal. But yeah, be careful you don't cross any bounderies.

Oh honey, we all have dreams about other people. I'm a happily married woman and I occasionally have "relations" dreams about strange people. Heck, one I had a dream about David Letterman! Dude is the same age as my dad. Sawyer from the show "Lost" makes quite frequent appearances in my dreams. Don't make too much of a big deal about it. You'll start idealizing this ex and comparing him to your hubby. Focus on your marriage.

Okay so I'm on night shift, today I dream that I'm in anouther demention, I'm on a school bus with other people and a monster is killing them one by one, of course they all come back as monsters to, so in the end I find this antibiotic that will kill them so I'm dipping my knife blade in it and fighting them, finally I manage to kill them but who knows whats next, I think I'm the only one left in this strange world except a friggin talking dog who's helping me. Ok what the heck does that mean? Am I going into a strange world with giants, monsters and haunted houses? Sheesh I must be insane, I wonder if Stephen King dreams this kinda stuff.

Oh yeah your dreams are normal, everybody dreams about people from their past and a differant life...except me.
