I suppose he is considering I confide everything in him and he and I spend more time together than I do with anyone else (except maybe coworkers l, lol). I've commented before that he and I have so much in common, have such similar families and backgrounds, and interests (even down to our favorite song being an obscure Big Band song from the 40s) that we probably meet most people's definition of "soul mates."

I considered my husband to be my best friend, but I also had a best girlfriend. She and I knew each other since we were 10 years old. We went to college together and met two guys who were also best friends with each other and married them after graduation. We eventually moved onto neighboring farms in Ohio and raised our families together. The four of us and our children were like one big family of best friends. My son and her daughter are now engaged. Unfortunately, my best girl friend and husband both passed away within a few years of each other. Her husband and I remain good friends, perhaps even best friends now. He would like for us to get married. I'm considering it, but for now my place is here in West Virginia taking care of an ailing uncle that raised me. If you're lucky enough to marry your best friend, you're lucky indeed!

Yes, they are. My wife is the most truthful, down to earth person I have ever met.

Absolutely. There is no other person I would rather do stuff with, we have a great time together no matter what we are doing.

awwwwwww man, that **** sucks. That's some sad news to hear, smh while the living don't appreciate their love ones. When you love someone they should be there as often as possible because tomorrow isn't promise to no one. If you don't mind sharing what happened? If it's too personal it's ok bud just try to keep your head held up high.

Just think . . . if my spouse is my best friend, then I've "friend-zoned him" according to some C-D members - and that's a horrible fate (according to those same members). LOL

Yes. And that's without having a ton of things in common.
