I was wondering, is it? At my school it's common I guess but is it weird?

A two-grade separation puts it in the minority of most high school relationships, but not to the extent that it's particularly unusual.

Not weird, but possibly illegal. Just be careful.

During my senior year, my male classmates started having a thing for 8th graders.

THAT was weird (although truthfully, they weren't getting much attention from the girls in 9-12 and were pretty much as the same maturity level as the 8th grade girls.)

PS: I dated a senior when I was a sophomore.

Most members on this forum are older than you, so in our opinions, it would not be weird to date someone with a two year age gap. However, we're talking about your age group, it would be kinda weird for a senior to date a sophmore. I remember my friend, who was a junior at the time, dated a high school freshman. It was sooooooooo weird for them to date. I felt like he was a creeper. I also remember when I was a senior, this freshman was on me pretty tough. I also found that weird. Now as an adult, i dont think its weird at all. It's all about perspective.

But why is it weird? They're within legal age, and at the same school. That makes no sense to me at all. Is it because it won't likely last? Plenty of high school relationships don't in general.

And I'm in my mid 20's saying this.
