Several times, but not just in a romantic relationship and more on first meeting them than on a first date. Like my best friend in high school. We don't remember when exactly we met, but we had an instant connection and we were together throughout high school and part of college when we met other friends, had different interests and went different directions. We are still in touch, but no longer inseparable. But we both remember those years fondly.

Have had it happen other times too, where I immediately just felt comfortable with someone as if I had always known them.

It's what I'd call a soul mate.

Yes.
And we weren't even physical the first date.

We just didn't want it to end. We started at a coffee shop. Then we went for a walk around the Capitol building. Then we still didn't want it to end so we went to a pool hall and played pool. It was a school night in college so we finally stopped around midnight.
Made a second date that very moment and that's when things heated up.

We were inseparable after that. And together for seven years.

Sadly, the people you get involved with in your early twenties are rarely the people you wind up spending the rest of your life with.

I heard later from mutual friends that she was devastated for years. She refuses to talk to me to this day. She told me she had seen our whole lives together. We were 29 (me) and 27 (her) when it ended...12 years ago.

Yes, my first date with my husband was this way. 7 months later we were engaged, 13 months later married and we just celebrated 15 year anniversary!

Once, I walked into a friends place and he had some friends over at the time who I had never met. I walked into the living room and sitting down was this girl and as soon as I saw her it was love at first site. The girl of my dreams. Feelings just overpowered me like never before. It was sureal, a real out of body experience where time just stopped. I knew right at that moment that sitting there was my soul mate.

It was the only time that has ever happened to me in my entire life.

LOL... They never give any reason either and leave men to guess and then wonder why men get frustrated with women.

Some nice stories here though.
