Sad but true.

Heck, being in a "traditional" but interracial marriage garnered unwanted attention when we were living in the South. My wife's father criticized us almost accusing us of child abuse before the fact because he believed our children would be shunned by society.

Needless to say, I could care less about what he thought.

That's great that you know how you want to form your relationship!

Society in general has grown to have a ton of entitlement issues.
It would stand to reason that his would also reflect on to every aspect of their lives. It's what they know as being normal.

I wouldn't say monogamy is dead, I would say people's justifications and definitions for stepping away from commitment has grown with the Ebb and flow of what it means to give to receive.

Historically, marriage was as much an ownership and property issue as anything else. The idea that love can be shared is just so foreign.

Yes! Society is definitely changing. For better or worse is a matter of opinion, but mine is that we are moving in the wrong direction. I feel like a lot of my peers (millenials) are flaky, spineless, self-entitled brats.

I just don't know why it is important. Society is nothing but a collection of individuals.
