Those of you who are dating after divorce and have kids who you don't intend to introduce to your partners anytime soon, how often do you see each other? Its so hard to date at this stage of life. Time is so limited.
I didn't even bother dating until my son was 12. He was 5 when his dad and I split. Absolutely No time and frankly, I was perfectly happy just to be with my kid.
I have two daughters, but they are almost 18 and 19. They are amazing. They hope for me to find someone. Ha...they joke that they have to practice yelling "You're not my mom!" so they can say this if I ever bring a lady home.
Personally, I know if my husband and I ever split up, I wouldn't bother dating much, at least not until he was a grown up. I have many divorced friends with kids who date here and there, but don't introduce men to their kids, and have no intention of doing so. My one friend has been seeing a guy for about 9 months, but they just meet for dates here and there, like when they don't have their kids. No commitment has been mentioned and it's just dating.

I would date on Sundays, which was when my son went to his father's house. He was there on Mondays and Tuesdays as well, but I have a 9 - 5 and was taking classes so those days were full.
Anyone worth dating is going to understand that your minor child(ren) comes first.

They are awesome human beings. I do not deserve them. My family is perhaps unorthodox or nontraditional, but we have a lot of fun and laffs and love each other fiercely. Including their mother. Tight knit tribe.
