When you met the one that would become your spouse, what were your Very First Words?
Before I met my wife, I would visit a photo developing shop and dealt with a clerk named Carol. On the day I met the woman who would eventually become the one I would marry, the one I've been joyously married to for the last thirty-two years, someone else stood at the counter. My Very First Words to my future spouse were:
"Where's Carol?"
What were yours?
(BTW, Her very first words to the man who would become her husband were, "She doesn't work here anymore.")

"Hey, I'm [name]. I'm suppose to pick you up to run some errands for the party tonight."
I was asked to help run errands for the party; future wife was acquaintance helping out. No one else had a car.
For two people who have such different backgrounds and superficially fairly little in common, we clicked pretty quickly. Talked a lot (still do today) about everything and anything. After running errands, I got hungry. So I asked to stop for some pizza... technically our first "date".
Background: She just completed training class and was assigned to our disability examiner unit.
"Sam," (our supervisor) "assigned me to be your mentor and to review your case work, because we're both single. I guess the old fool likes playing Cupid."
