I guess you have no choice but to give her what she wants but for me personally I think that even if I gave that ultimatum to a guy it would mean a lot to me if I were to get say a note or a text a week or two in saying something to the effect of "I don't expect an answer and not trying to pressure you and won't keep contacting you but I'm just saying hi and I hope you're doing ok and I miss you." Not a phone call because that puts her on the spot for some sort of response. But by that I mean seriously wait at least the two weeks and then just that one communication maaaaybe a very small bouquet and then that's it. Ball is back in her court. Nothing profuse or over the top just a small "I'm not out trolling" reminder and only if you really mean it. Then again that depends on how adamant she was on the no communication. If she was pretty adamant about that and usually means exactly what she says then forget I suggested it.
I'd also want to know if she has some plan to end this to make sure you aren't both sitting around in 4 weeks waiting for the other one to call. Are you calling? Is she calling? Are you meeting at the top of the Empire State building as in An Affair to Remember?
