Dating apps make it easier to meet people and are good.
But there's some examples of dating apps being DANGEROUS!
There was Stephen Port, a British serial killer who used the app Grindr to find victims.
There was also Wade Riley out in Las Vegas who killed women on match dotcom.
And there are many stories of women using these platforms to lure men into robberies. One used plenty of fish, and there was a story in NYC last Spring of a woman who met a guy in Instagram and convinced him to meet her in an apartment in the Bronx where he was accosted by goons who tortured him and then put him on face-time with his family to extort money from them in exchange for his release!
These apps are convenience but seem dangerous. Yet there's so many people using hem and feel most comfortable using them to meet dates or friends.
I'd like to try one out some time, but they sound DANGEROUS and scary!

I have used them many times and never had a bad experience. But, you never know and I will never do it again. Not because of the dangers you mention, but because of the damage to self esteem, frustration, wastes of valuable time, etc. Most people are not who the portray themselves to be and it's just a bad experience all the way around, and it IS dangerous as well. I think if you use good judgment and are careful meeting someone, especially if you have mutual friends or acquaintances it's better. I wouldn't advise using them at all for a number of reasons, other than those mentioned. Just my oppinion.
