Sean Connery of course! Then Colin Firth and followed by Hugh Grant. Foreign accents can be hot! Ummm and a slow Southern drawl too. And I'm liking Robert Duvall these days. But in addition to a foreign accent, I love listening to any man that is well spoken, thinks before he speaks, is a gentleman and has integrity. Right now, I'm turned off by men who use a lot of hip slang terms in their speech patterns.
I love words, so a guy that uses them well is a turn on to me. I know that there are other actors I love listening too, but I can't think of them right at the moment. It's not like I frequently daydream about them.
My boyfriend has no accent, but I like the thoughts and sentiments that come out of his head.
My stepfather has a lovely speaking voice. I can imagine him with a show on NPR. My mother says that he only sounds like he is right.
I would think that any politician that seduces you into voting for them fits the bill, since the epitome of seduction is to tell the listener what they want to hear whether it's true or not.
If you wouldn't mind sharing, who are the public figures (celebrities, politicians, musicians, writers, etc.) you find attractve because of the way they speak? I'm not talking about a deep, sexy voice, but more about what they have to say and more specifically how they say it. Is there any such person?
Off the top of my head, I can think of four
Bono
Brad Pitt
Ben Affleck
Denzel Washinton
For thier political involvement, family and community activism. Yeah that's what I'm going with.
Wow, this has produced more responses than I expected. The only person I was sort of expecting was Barack Obama (given the timeliness), but I can understand the Bill Clinton thing too. I'm surprised song lyrics are not more popular -- although Bono and maybe George Michael count. Anderson Cooper is an interesting pick and one I can understand. Thanks foir your replies.
Well when it comes to song lyrics, one I can think of right of the top is one of my favorites, he's got the voice and the words in his songs and that is Michael Bolton. Brian McKnight is another. I've got a couple just gotta remember their names lol.
When people mention song lyrics, are they aware that often the lyrics are NOT written by the singer?
