Today is MY day!

I have the much needed appointment with the dentist at noon and guess what... my car doesn't wanna start this morning! Not only that, but I was barely able to shut up the alarm (it has something to do with the alarm). Waiting on AAA now... I hope it's something minor they can fix. Otherwise I'd rather call a cab and go to the dentist and deal with towing later. Then again, it'll get late in the day and only God knows how many cabs I'll need after that... God knows also what the car really needs. Could be a battery (at best, of course). Haven't bought one lately. The AAA lady said this symptom often occurs when the battery's low.

What a day!

Sounds like your car needs a hug

My wifes car wouldn't release the gas cap door yesterday and she came home on fumes.

I need a hug, silly!

Well, AAA will be here soon. We'll see what happens. After a root canal (most likely) I'd love to deal with towing, repairs, cabs, etc... Can't get much better than that!

OK, I'm back in business. It just was time for the battery to die and apparently it affects the alarm, too. Guess I'm lucky I couldn't make a morning appointment with the dentist. Reminds me of that story "you don't know if it's good or bad" I've posted before. Some years ago I was trying to postpone my vacation in Puerto Vallarta by a week or two as I found out the rainy season might not be over yet at the time I booked it. Thank goodness I couldn't do it. A week after we got back it was hit by a hurricane and it never even happens there on a regular basis. Sooo... you never know what's good or bad...

You back in the office already? If so that was a quick AAA experience.

The car died at home; never made it to the office. I wasn't planning on going back there after the dentist anyway, so I just took the whole day off. It's not worth going for a couple of hours.

Yeah, they did alright this time - showed up in less than an hour.

Default Screen name

I wonder if I should change my screen name. People probably think I'm some huge fat dude with repulsive eating habits.

I do enjoy food. SO and I enjoy watching food channel, making new dishes. Trying different foods from various countries.

I sometimes eat a little too much.

Maybe Chowhound is right

Ah. A man that cooks, and tries new dishes at that.
I wish my bf had an intrested in cooking. He can barley work the microwave. He does enjoy my cooking tho.

I think you should keep the name.
