I'm still hoping there might be some cheap spot left in the world where I can get a beach shack.

Maybe by then they will have sexy Depends undergarments...the crazy astronaut who wore them from Texas to Florida really may have set a trend for younger users....

Hmmm. I'm temporarily retired. It makes me hungry.

If I am able to retire at a reasonable age, then it will depend on how much I can afford to do or am healthy enough to do.

If I was in great shape, I'd like to live on a boat and travel up and down the coast. Maybe I'd write essays or do historical research. Maybe attend a nearby university and learn something new. Maybe I'll know enough about something so that I could be a consultant and bring in enough money so I could travel abroad. I'd like to travel very slowly and live in various locations and get to know foreign cities or towns from the inside. I'd like to live someplace where I could only speak French, Italian, or Dutch. Maybe I'd be very daring and move someplace where I had no clue how the speak the local language and get by with hand signals and four or five words I picked up by accident. I can already curse in Slovakian.

Other than that I'd be an old lady who works in her garden, volunteers at the local art museum, goes to fancy shindigs, and drinks a little too much. There are plenty of those in my town.

Retire?! What country do you live in? This is America where the cost of gas and health care is going up, salaries are stagnating, jobs are going overseas and 401ks are shrinking. Who can retire?

All kidding aside (and I'm only partly kidding), what I do when I retire really depends on how much money I have, how healthy I am, and whether I have children and grandchildren. I saw a survey a while back where they asked people what thing they wish they had more of. While things like money, love and power ranked high, what came in at number 1 was time. Most of us have so many things we want to do but we just don't have the time, probably because we're too busy working. That's the real value of money. It buys you time. You can quit your job and use the time you gain to do all the things you want to do. Travel, see your kids or grandchildren, volunteer, etc. If I had enough money to retire, if I was healthy, and had kids and grandkids, I would spend my seeing all the places I wanted to see earlier, spoiling my grandkids, and maybe starting some kind of charitable group to support some worthy cause.

I hope I won't grow to be old.
I mean, it makes me sick already when I see young people frenchkissing and fondling each other, what will it be when I'll be, say, 70.

Unfortunately "clean" suicide is forbidden in my country (I mean it's forbidden to have a gun if you're not a hunter), and I would dread a painful bungled suicide through hanging or pills , so probably I'll settle for an over 60 community where I don't run the risk to come face to face with young people, which would remind me of how old I am!

I plan on building a resort in Tela, Honduras. I have the land. It has a great white sand beach on the ocean.

Barely enough room to fit what I own let alone live. If I had to live in a place that was less than 3,000 sq. feet with someone else I'd most likely kill them.
Just out of curiosity how many beds and baths did that big ole house have LB.

What would you need viagra for? Unless you have a good supply of Rohypnol [flunitrazepan] to go with it.

I certainly see no need for Viagra, only Rohypnol.

I'd work out all day and have sex all night. Oh wait, I already do that.
