It is rather common for situations like this to emerge on college campuses -- young female student, middle aged male professor. Most of the time both parties know what they're getting into: she's into him because he's mature, different, experienced, exotic; he is into her because she is young, energetic, willing, hot. They have something going for a while, both get what they want, and then it dies out. Happens all the time.
Not every relationship has to turn into some lifelong/long-term thing. Sometimes a little fling is all two people want or need.

Of course he could be attracted to you, but if he hasn't made it known to you i don't think you should do anything, not unless you don't care about your job!

Yes for all the reasons already mentioned and you wouldn't feel at all attracted to him if he was the janitor so what does that tell you?
