Very attractive women can often be put in one of two categories:
beautiful or sexy. To illustrate: two iconic women, Audrey Hepburn & Marilyn Monroe. Hepburn is beautiful, and Monroe is sexy.
Beautiful is elegant, classy, graceful, but not overtly sexual.
Sexy is obviously more carnal, sensual, exciting, but less refined and not even necessarily pretty.
Obviously, both are pleasing to the eye, and one isn't necessarily better than the other but we all have personal preferences.
Women, which would you rather be?
Men, which do your prefer in a woman?
(and don't say both! )
After talking with some male friends, I was surprised to find most preferred an Audrey Hepburn type. I generally thought men would go for "sexy" over "beautiful". Of course, these are just a few guys I hang out with.
We kind of have this conundrum in dancing. I feel most comfortable being cute or flirty in my latin dancing, I don't feel all that comfortable playing a sexy vixen - but if I have to, I can.

Sexy is someone who you just want to have sex with, that is it! Their personality sucks, they have little to no talents, they're deadbeats, and have nothing else to provide other than sex.
Beautiful is someone who has something that is cute about them, either looks or personally or both. This person will have something that you really like other than looks or attractiveness.
I'd say for most men it changes over time. When they are young most men just want sex and that is it. They also want to have sex with the hottest person they can get ( hot girlfriend = status symbol). As they get older and start looking for marriage material they'll want the more beautiful person. Then again, there are A LOT of guys out there who end up marrying the sexy girl and end up getting screwed when she divorces him (for a richer guy) or starts to loose her luster with age.
For me personally I could care less of either attribute. I am looking to get laid and that is pretty much it. As long as the girl isn't a prude, fat or annoying then I am down for it. I prefer quantity over quality.
Wow, Killer! I disagree with your definition of sexy to the nth degree.
But between Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, I'd choose Audrey. She's always been one of my favorites. I appreciate classy, but I also think it's very sexy.

You wouldn't wanna tell us how you really feel, would ya???
I say beautiful. It's kind of like Pamela Anderson and Catherine Zeta Jones. No contest to me. I think the classic woman is more beautiful.
