Sorry, I received two private comments that my post was sad. It wasn't meant to be. It was what came to mind when I heard the piece on NPR this week. That happened a number of years ago, so don't be sad for me, please.... Crap happens to everyone.
Next year I would like it be along the lines of-

There's nothing wrong about feeling sad. I can only hope that I've touched my wife in the same way if it happened to us.
