Nice choice in vehicle. I love american muscle cars. I own a foreign entry level luxury car. With the mods and all it is so much fun. I find the big american muscle to really only be worth it in a drag race but they are very nice to look at. You will probably love that car! (Till I fly by, hahahaha)

I drive a 1994 Accord EX. It's paid for, still runs quite smoothly at 175,000 miles, gets good gas mileage, drives well for a 4-cylinder car, and has four matching tires. And it has a stick (5 speed) so I get a certain thrill from driving it around the semi-hilly Atlanta suburbs.

In other words, it's old, reliable, handles curves well, and has a fun stick ... just like me.

What is it with all these guys on this thread bragging about their cars then bashing women for supposedly judging men by their cars? Sheesh. If you don't want to be judged by your car, stop displaying it like a peacock in mating season.

Reminds me of a man I once (briefly) dated in my single days. Wouldn't s.t.f.u. about his 10,000 square-foot baronial mansion (or "estate", as he liked to call it), his 5 cars, his indoor olympic swimming pool, his custom-made cowboy boots, his sauna constructed from Karelian birch, his fine sweaters (handknit by purebred Inca virgins in the heart of the Andes from the finest flying-hermaphrodite-sheep wool, with needles fashioned from magic unicorn horns) -- yet complained about women's supposed materialism and "obsession with luxuries". And of course, made the same lame comment about materialism the one time he saw me buy a tube of lipstick on a rotten day.

Oh come on Redisca the statements were made that all of who drive a certain type of car are a certain type of person. This thread is on the topic. It is not like walk around town saying hey look what symbol is on my key FOB. I think those of us describing what we drive are doing so to contradict the previously described psychobabble.

I've always liked the bumper sticker that says "My other ride is your husband".

Yeah, but ... you still offer the description of what you drive as a reflection on the kind of person you are. If a person does that, then it's simply illogical to complain that his car is used as a basis for an opinion of him as a person.

The general idea is that the better more expensive car means the more wealth a man has. However, that could be the exact opposite. The only real thing it shows is that the man is a big spender. You could easily drop 500$ per month leasing a nice car. I know people who make decent money and live paycheck to paycheck! They send 2k on rent, 500 for the car payment, couple hundred for food and misc expenses and at the end of the day they have nothing saved up. Big hat, no cattle.

On the other hand, a man driving a beater could show that he is rather frugal and doesn't spend his money on wasteful things. That man could be significantly richer because he INVESTS his money wisely. No hat, lots of cattle.

If anything it really shows that cars as a financial indicator can be rather deceiving, yet women fall for it hook line and sinker.

haha, yup. Warren buffet drives a cadillac DTS, MSRP 40k. Oh and bill gates upgraded to the 2008 ford focus, msrp 15k. Mind you, these are people who could EASILY afford 1 million+ cars.
Yeah, Bill Gates doesn't need a fancy ride. He's got fancy private jet...pocket change.

Probably has a car and driver too.
