This story lost me the second "God" was mentioned. I refuse to date women I don't have a physical attraction to, end of sentence.

Happens more often that most people probably believe. Women (and men) can become attracted to someone after getting to know them better. Things usually work out fine in these cases.

What is probably just as common are guys who want a particular woman to be with them. They persistently keep trying and then eventually wear her down. These cases rarely turn out well.

I don't know why she felt the need to post it. Can't imagine her husband is happy about that

Same here.
Reads like a typical religious hypocrite----she wanted a man who is close to god, respected, and all that but because he wasn't a huge catch in the looks department she wasn't interested at 1st.
According to the religious kooks, this so-called god created all human life. What this woman ended up doing was rejecting a creation of god just because she wasn't physically attracted to him. Oh how moral, respectable, and loving these christians are.

.
Yes. It's really not that unusual. And attraction is based on many things. Actually, she was attracted to him. In fact, by sheer force of personality, he became irresistible to her. But she wasn't able to acknowledge that for awhile.

Or if you want to be cynical she waited for her handsome 6'7 man with "elegant hands" and when she found out she couldn't get one she "settled" for this guy who she was more on the level with physically

Possibly, but that would be reading a lot into the narrative that isn't there. I had the impression she was pretty young, so it's not like she threw in the towel after years of trying, and then suddenly her future hubs won her over.

I would hope that the couple pictured isn't the couple from the story. If it is, I hope he is ok with her sharing her feelings about his appeal. Kind of ouch.
