My friend just broke up with this guy she loved so much about a month ago and now she's getting married to a guy she only started dating a few weeks ago. Her reasoning was that she dated him 20 years ago and feels they still know each other very well even though they haven't actually spoken in 20 years, that when they got reaquainted it was like no time had passed.

I offered my congrats but kinda thought "Dang, that was a fast recovery!" lol

Its not my business but was wondering if anyone felt the same.

She might be and she probably is.

But, it's her decision. I wouldn't stand by idly if it was a sibling or close friend doing this; fortunately, no one I know would do something this... peculiar.

Exactly. Its just an old friend and I really don't care, but just thought it was peculiar too.

IMHO, she's moving way too fast and appears like a NEEDY individual. Like she can't and won't be satisfied ALONE, and must always have a man in her life to feel validated.

These things can work out, but what would be the harm in their waiting a bit?

Sometimes it's just all about timing...maybe they're both at the point where they just want to be married and the choice of partner is inconsequential, in a manner of speaking, to them. Who knows? Maybe it will work out...stranger things have been known to happen...
