It seems like Latinos and Blacks only pay me any mind these days, so Im putting myself out there more in those social circles. Musically, they tend to like rap and top 40 baloney but the women I have been with lately tend not to make an issue out of it. I played a Decemberist and Pixies CD for a light skinned black woman I met at the bar and she said it was "awright."

Do you mind me asking what race are you? I just wonder since you said that only latino and blacks pay you any attention.
So, what does music have to do with the women that you meet?
I'd say only date them if they appeal to you, not b/c you think that's all you can get. What a terrible attitude and I wouldn't want someone to date me b/c they thought they couldn't do better. For me, people of all races generally appeal to me, b/c it's not the physical features that matter, but what's inside, and though I'm white, I believe a black or latino man could bring as much to the table as a white man. If black and latino women don't appeal to you, then you need to run in different circles or see what in your appearance or personality is keeping women of your own race away.
