Receiving a message from someone who is old enough to be your parent-lol Damm this annoys me when i get a message from someone who is 49. I mean what is the point? I didn't think that many woman who are older was into a guy in his early 30's but I just get bombarded with messages from them. That's the one thing I like about plentyoffish.com, if a person is 15-20 older then can't send you a message at all because of your age preference.
I don't want anyone 49 when I;m 49-lol Even then I will prefer someone 40
LOL! My brother gets a lot of older women responding to his ads too! he was griping to me about this very same thing - even though he specifies the age(s) he's interested in.
Plentyoffish is known to be a "hook up" site...
so to actually find someone decent thats not just looking to get laid would be good.
AND to find someone thats not just looking to get laid and within your age range would be great
BUT to find someone thats not just looking to get laid AND thats within your age range AND not lying about something else... uh yeah thats impossible!
Age is nothing but a number BUT when theyre older then your parents, it does get slightly creepy!

They must be desperate if they're messaging you.
Personally, I'm 47 and I can't beat the young men off with a stick.
Every single guy that hits on me is at least nine or ten years my junior, often more. Some of them are as young as my son (who is 25). What's up with that? I don't mind dating someone ten years younger than I am, because at least they're close enough in age that we'll have a lot in common, but someone 22 years younger? Forget it, I don't want to have to do any "training".
Trust me, I've looked for men around my age, but they're all old, fat, and tired. Or, they are socially inept, have no personality and just want to sit around watching television and sports all the time. I want to get out and run a marathon, or climb a mountain, or go backpacking or skiing or hang-gliding or scuba diving or deep sea fishing. Screw being a couch potato, that's for wimps.

I'm sure they don't want to watch TV all the time
