Simple charming things that each of you may like or once enjoyed such as waking up giving each a hug can work or taking a long walk together before sleepy time often can build husband/wife moods to something naughty. If the walking doesn't then you will each sleep soundly.
If any of the above doesn't seem to work then you may need to get a big stick and smack him into the next hemisphere but try your very best not to cheat. Try to understand his work and maybe he acquired new likes and dislikes. Arguing will only exacerbate a small issue so if you just bit your tongue, so to speak, when goofey things arise he may get the picture. One party cannot make a good relationship...
