Yup. They are a beautiful breed. Calm on the inside, beautiful on the outside. We used to have another white , medium sized dog that was half chow, half mutt. He was extremely bright. The only problem was that every time we took him out the fence for a while, the neighbors dog would beat him up, every time. These dogs would even attack people. It would make my dad really mad. So we would schedule his walks to when the other dogs where tied up, otherwise there would be trouble. So we kept him inside the gate most of the time until we took him for his walks. But the dog wanted to go outside and play with the "girls". If there was anything that dog had, is that he was lucky with the girl dogs. So he would escape. Eventually he ran away from home, never to return. We all know he left because he hated the neighborhood dogs that had beaten him up over and over again. He just had too much stress because of them.
Perhaps he should have been named Casanova.
I'm sorry you lost him, tempt. I hate stories like that.
