This is my pet name for my inlaws attempts to stir the pot during the holidays by contriving issues that cause a ripple effect through out the family...

Anyone else have hijackers? Let's laugh and have some holiday fun! What do they do? Any good stories?

Yes, I have one! I sent Christmas cards out to both SIL, letting them know that we would be having Christmas dinner here.
I call the MIL to ask her what she wanted to bring, just to have her tell me that noone was coming.
I said, "What?" She said that her daughter invited everyone to her house, but she forgot to invite us? She knew that we were making dinner.
I told MIL.."Thats ok." We will just plan to go on over, uninvited anyway."

We just changed the day, but she is still welcome here.
Now, thats showing the Christmas spirit!

The majority of my family are quite outspoken so during the holidays, I can always expect some interestings conversations. A few of my family members are hardcore, bible-thumping republicans and a few are very liberal Democrats; it makes for an entertaining day. We are a tight, loving, dysfunctional family that can argue until we are blue in the face. I know this Christmas there is going be a very heated debate about the national health care issue, might as well sit back and watch the fireworks!

What is this holiday that you speak of? Is there some kind of holiday going on in December?

Outlaws are more dangerous than inlaws, you better keep them inlaws and don't initiate that conversion process

Mother-In-Law Stories and Mother-In-Law Jokes

Amazing at what some in-laws would do.

Who needs inlaws when five of us in the immediate family all worked for competitors in the same industry - me, my brothers, father and mother. (Some aunts and uncles and grandparent at some time on either side were too). Just sitting down for a meal together was a violation of at least 20 federal anti-trust laws if we weren't so competitive and sarcastic with each other. Talk about pot stirring - good lord! Dad was always the initial instigator and would needle and needle to agitate someone beyond control. My brother gave me a beautiful white vase for Christmas one year and dad asked what it was and I put it on the table and said, "It's your urn if you don't shut the hell up."

Years later enter inlaws and it just became an insane asylum. It's a wonder we weren't alcoholics. Eventually, we had to break up the party into smaller gatherings.
