I very rarely see it happening in public myself, but lately there has been several women how were "little more than strangers" to me, kiss me on the cheek. Body-language wise, this seems like just being friendly and casual... but on each social occaision I didn't see any other guys getting kissed.
Is this usually as I suspected; "friendly and casual",
or is it more likely they are probably attracted to me?
(I'm in my late 20's, btw)
When I go to the Middle East, Turkey and even Italy and I meet some old male acquaintances and they greet me by a kiss or two on the cheek. It's quite a nice and warm gesture to be honest. I like that part of their culture
It'd never happen in the Western world amongst men.

Yes in many communities kissing on the cheek is practised even by man and woman who just met.

If these ladies pulled your cheeks out and pinched them and made "mookie mookie" faces at you as they kissed your cheeks, they probably just thought you were such a cutie pie that they just couldn't resist!
women are far more touchy feely than men, a complete stranger? pretty rare, but common with people they know.
and in direct response to the OP have had similar happen to me in the past and it means they are likely interested, the body language is the give away.....and they are often quite excitable in your presence.....
I'm sorry, I can't get past the name "ColdCanadian", makes me think of booze for some reason.
On occaision I also enojy a cold (Molson) "Canadian",
but I chose my screenname because I prefer 75+ F temps,
and in Canada that means 80+% of the year I can't help feeling at least somewhat-chilled.

Yes, this was in a "western society", usually happened while travelling in the USA.
Their body language to me didn't indicate "excitement", but that being around me made them (for lack of a better word) "gooey"; like when someone sees a new baby or a puppy, that kind of body-language and facial expression. Older women and younger women alike do this occaisionally, but women around my age do it with a little more timidity. ()
