I don't know, I thought the folks on that site were kind of weak looking considering the website's, and the folks who joined, claim. I was disappointed perusing their members and it was unrelated to weight. (It was kind of like going to a porn site, but only seeing chicks in bikinis! ) Maybe they're using weight as an excuse. There's been a bit of publicity about them, so maybe they got a lot more attractive members (9 & 10s) and were able to weed out the 6-8s who were posting pictures of their "beautiful" self because they thought they were 9 & 10s.
The former members can't complain since they set themselves up for scrutiny based on something so subjective.

Gosh, I know. Putting up their fat pictures wasn't exactly the smartest move.
I find the site a bit weak too. Plus, it looked like many of the men were fakes who were using ripped off pictures of male models. This became apparent when three different guys had the exact same shirtless picture. I doubt they're triplets.

It sounded like they just had holiday weight gain, not blew up like balloons. If that's the case, that's pretty lame and says more negative about the site than it does someone gaining holiday weight.
Out of curiosity, is the term "fatties" common in the UK? It sounds offensive in the article, but I'm guessing the website and it's owner originate from the UK?
You're being mean to me, aren't you? I'm going to go solace myself in the arms of other beautiful people.
When I was a kiddo, during my earliest English lessons......... I was taught that when I grow up and someone calls me "beautiful", that's a "semantic disaster" (semantic disaster is the actual quote)

When I say "fat pictures," I mean as opposed to a more flattering picture. I find the site to be pretty silly in general. I don't think I would ever even attempt to meet a guy from there. I'm a little wary about guys who see themselves as beautiful.

I have a hard time believing it was all related to weight gain.
Mango Tango: I'm not a member so I don't know how active the site is, but is it common for people to constantly update with new photos?
I just can't imagine that many people gaining weight just from the holidays, as well as that many people posting updated photos. Like Whyte Byrd said, it wouldn't be very evident in photos.

Hmm, but you appear to be quite handsome in your profile picture? That is, unless you're hiding a third eye underneath those scribbles.
