I think the answer would be yes, as far as the guy thrusting. However, if the people are holding on to each other and thrusting simultaneously, I imagine it would be pretty mind blowing on impact.
That's the whole point! And with the way some people copulate, trust me when I say there would be no drifting apart when two people are tenaciously gripping and very solidly connected, if ya know what I mean.
Eh, I still think that being able to brace oneself is helpful. But if the opportunity arises, take it.
But seriously, there's never been an "odd" place. When I was a kid, and didn't have a car, we did it outdoors, basically in the woods. Wasn't a very developed area out where I lived. I don't find that particularly odd. As an adult, if I did that and wasn't camping or homeless, I would find it odd.
