Stella getting her groove on...?
At least her man was young and hot (20).
You make a big deal of dating someone 5 years older? It's done, you know. No, then again, you don't. You really think in your mind 34/35 is a young man?!
Good Luck dude .. unfortunately never got a chance to date older women (35 - 40ish).. but honestly they're fun to hangout with .. even at 40 some women are really hot .. physically & intellectually .

I made a big deal because I normally go younger but it was something about her personality that didn't maje me think 40
The third date?.....I missed the report on the first two.
As I recall the first one was in January when it was cold. They met after she got out of class or whatever around 9PM and Grasshopper didn't know of any restaurants in the immediate area which were open (according to Philly posters there were plenty of open places just a short bus ride away) so they chatted a while and then he walked her to the bus stop. There and much to his amazement, she let one bus go by to continue to chat. He waited for a week or so (as I recall) to invite her out again and she was busy but suggested a tentative date. She didn't confirm the date which really ticked him off and then had the audacity to do something else which ticked him off even more (you know, it could be a dozen or more different scenarios) so that was that. She dodged a bullet.
The next one was a couple of months later and the gal was really nice but he just couldn't get beyond her Alabama accent ....
If Grasshopper thinks at 35 that a 40 year old is an "older woman" then the follow-up to this exciting event must be eagerly awaited to see what reason he'll conjure up to avoid a second date (if the first one actually comes off). Whatever the reason for this one not being any better than the (very few) rest it will of course be HER fault entirely as she just won't meet his expectations of what a date is SUPPOSED to be.
