I don't care what he's using he is not being sarcastic . He is at the very least saying to those who opposed him "the scriptures say ye are gods , so why do you have a problem with me saying i am God's son" , He also said the scriptures cannot be broken.
34Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods'[e]? 35If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken— 36what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'? 37Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. 38But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father." 39Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.
You cany deny it all you want the scriptures say we are all His offspring.
You accuse others of being dim and not reading full passages of scriptures , i suggest you go back and read it again . After He said ye are gods , He followed it up with the scriptures cannot be broken.
It would be a good lesson learnt by you if you understood that the scriptures actually testify of Jesus , and not calvinism.
So when Paul said "MEN OF ATHENS" , who had never heard the gospel before ,to whom Paul said "since we are all His offspring" these guys were believers ?are you serious ?.
I love the fact that Paul said this to the Men of Athens , just to hear we are his offspring is music to the ear and good news , then to be told that He loved us while we were yet sinners is joy unspeakable . The jews of the day would have hated Paul for saying "since we are all His offspring" to whom they considered unclean folk , even some jewish believers including Peter held this view for a time , and it's no different today orthodox christianity hates the fact that God loves sinners , even in their sin.
If Jesus is the word and Jesus said i have not come to condemn the world , which bible are you reading from .
Or is it "The bad news according to Calvinism", you are quoting from ?.
The bible is black and white...you either believe it or you don't, and you go about piecing together verses in order to support your belief...
