I wouldn't bet on it. As we have seen in the past with his argument from numbers/authority, he's not averse to claiming something was said when it wasn't or visa-versa..but I suppose we have to indulge his nonsense occasionally.

NAH...not drinking. The County Fair is this week. It rained like crazy the beginning of the week...now it's Sat...and the weather is beautiful. It's kicking my club in the butt like it does every year...so, I'm sitting here very bored. Maybe I should have a few drinks. Things will pick up after the fair gets out at 10 PM.
Plus...the threads aren't really very good right now. Mostly Islam stuff...I'm not very interested in that. I'm not a thread starting kind of guy...that might change though. Nobody minds a bit of levity. I like a laugh myself. But it is a pain when we can't tell whether you are making a serious argument for mob rule (as Roman 6 is for bias, intolerance and bigotry - just so it's on his side(1) or just trying a wind - up.

Most people use those terms in the manner you listed. In fact, up until a year ago I used them in that manner. However, gnosticism and theism have different meanings. Gnosticism addresses what you know and agnosticism addresses what you don't know. Theism addresses what you believe and atheism addresses what you don't believe. So, there are 4 categories:
Gnostic Theist: Knows there is a god and believes there is a god.
Agnostic Theist: Doesn't know if is a god but believes there is a god.
Gnostic Atheist: Knows there isn't a god and believes there isn't a god.
Agnostic Atheist: Doesn't know if there is a god but doesn't believe in a god.
Most of us don't fall exactly on one of these strict definitions. We all fall along a continum. As Sanspeur mentioned, Richard Dawkins attempted to define this continum.
These are excellent categories Maia . . . as is Dawkin's scale. But your separation of knowing (gnosticism) and belief (faith) is excellent. Rafius by rejecting the knowing part but claiming 100% faith . . . seems to be staking out the Agnostic Atheist category. I with my 100% knowing and 100% faith . . . am staking out the Gnostic Theist category.

The timing (especially of Bible-God) is superfluous and irrelevant . . . since the literal Bible-God is based on ignorance. But the question remains . . . how much evolution of species needed to occur before a suitable "vessel" existed in which to plant the "seed of consciousness" . . . i.e., breath of life creating a "living SOUL?"
