It never ceases to amaze me how many of these forums quickly digress into God-cursing, Christian-bashing, self-as-god-promoting rants. But there are some incontrovertable truths, regardless of what people claim:
1). The man who says in his heart, 'there is no god' ... is a fool.
2). God has revealed himself throughout all of creation and nature.
3). God has created every person with an inborn knowledge of his eternal power and deity,
.... so that those who suppress these truths, are without excuse.
4). Ultimately, everyone (from the ancients on) knows that there is more to life than this world and life -- Try to imagine your own death ... as other than a spectator!
All of these are Biblical truths, but I didn't bother quoting references, since those to whom this is addressed will immediately renounce any belief in such 'fairy tales.' BUT, you know the truth in your heart ... and will be ultimately accountable for it before the GOD whom you now curse (that is, unless you open your eyes, mind and heart to a God and truth beyond your own opinions. By the way, how is that 'self-god' thing working out for you in your life?
I have seen absolutely no evidence that God exists during my lifetime. In fact the very concept of faith is based on the idea that Christians are just supposed to accept all of the teachings of Christianity without evidence.
I don't know how God will treat you when you die. It's probably impertinent of me, or other Christians, to assume we know.
Still the main idea I've heard about this is God revealing himself to you after death is at least something you'd know or experience. If you simply cease to exist you'll never know whether he exists or not as you won't know anything any more.

This is the sort of arrogance which drives people away from religion, specifically Christianity. "Incontrovertable" [sic] and "Biblical" are most assuredly not at all synonymous. "[R]egardless of what people claim"? Aren't you a person? I don't appreciate being categorized as a "fool".
God reveals Himself as the Holy Spirit that lives within one,who have accepted Him as Lord and Savior,so no it does not take the death of an individual for Him to be revealed.

Are you saying that the holy spirit is parasitic? Where inside you does it live, and how can you get rid of it, so you can be cured?

Have no fear, sans . . . you seem to be as effectively blocked from sensing the Holy Spirit as a blind man is from sight.
