Accuracy??? Looks to me like you interpret "prophecy" any way you want! In this very thread the prophecy of Jesus' soon return, in the lifetime of his disciples becomes thousands of years later.

So.....in this vision, was there a loud trumpet call from angels, did said angels "gather the elect from the four winds"? Did the Son of Man "appear in the sky"? Did "all the nations of the earth" mourn?
So which one is it? He returned in A.D 70, in a vision, at the transfiguration, in 1915 or are we still waiting? When???
Jesus Christ could only return to this world after the Jewish people first returned from a worldwide exile. And according to Jesus, his return would only occur after the rebirth of Israel. The Old Testament speaks of how in the last days God would allow the Jewish people to return to the land of Israel. And the Bible shows us that their return, would anger the nations. Yet God tells us, He is not allowing them to return for their sakes, because they polluted His name where ever they went. God is getting ready to reveal to the world who He is, and He is going to use Israel as bait. It is Gods plan, to allow many nations to attack the Jewish state, yet, as Israel is about to be destroyed, God will destroy the invading army. And then, God will reveal to the Jews, and the world, who He is. Yet the world will continue for another 7 years, before Christ actually returns.
Christians wrote books in the 1600s, and 1800s, which stated that before Christ could return to earth, we first would have to see the Jewish people return to the land of Israel, and retake the city of Jerusalem. In the year 1948, south Israel was taken over by the Jewish people, and in the year 1967, Jerusalem was retaken back by the Jewish people as well. And that fulfilled one part of the prophecy. Also, Jerusalems East Gate had a Porch Gate added onto it hundreds of years ago, and it was sealed up by nonbelievers of the Bible. And that fulfilled another part of the prophecy of Christ return. "This generation" referred to Jesus' contemporaries, not people in the future. He said "this generation". This. This. Not "that". Not a future generation. The present one (in Jesus's time). Scholars know this, and now you do as well.

Israel becomes a nation 1948 and taking a biblical generation of 40 years, it was 1988

Scurries off to Luke and the bit about Israel being surrounded. Six day way in 1967 - yup that is surely it. Thus revising the generation back to 40, it is 2007.

Haven't heard the end time profits trying the jubilee one with 1967 + 50 = 2017 but we sure have a lot of woo woos looking at 2012.
Amazing that even the alleged jesus made a disclaimer that even he did not know when he would come back yet all the woo woos know exactly when he will come back.
Then of course we have our prize woo woo in C34 stating that it will be in 2038 something but fails to show any biblical proof of this other than a generation is in fact 70 and then some years as folk live a lot longer now but that takes us only to 2018 or 2028 so I guess a generation is now 90 years? Conveniently, by then he will be dead as will many of us older folk here so that lets him off the hook wrt to a stoning.
And all because some guy in prison calculated the age of the earth following the begats and came up with 4000 BCE or thereabouts and now we have 2000+ in CE, thus approx equal to 6000 years and with the millennial reign of 1000 years, we have majikally arrived at 7000 years and because gawd created the earf in six literal daze and rested on teh 7th, 7 is thus gawds perfect, BFF, favourite number is why we have the 2nd failure to come as somewhere around where we are now.
I mean all the evidence is there in front of you in plain sight, everyday we hear of earthquakes, wars etc. Whats not to believe?
The key of course to all this, one has to understand that gawd is not very good at math or simple arithmetic so while he is tarrying to allow for just a few more souls to be saved, by stand-up pulpit comedians, we must surely just believe that this math which humans have worked out is all correct and ≈ whatever I want the next answer to be just to let their invisible friend off the hook.
