I posit that all supposed dinosaur fossils are actually naturally occurring formations of the mineral dinolite. Just like crystals and gems in strata of other rocks, except that these are shaped like the bones of large prehistoric animals.

You write as though there is nothing between myth and that which is proved. But there is. A great deal, in fact. We have evidence, not proof. So it is with many things. After a certain amount of evidence, people accept said evidence as conclusive.
