Solomon may have written it, but I don't agree with calling it all meaningless. I do agree that I can't take it with me, that someday it will all end, and that life is short and temporary. That's why I enjoy it for what it is and do my best to make sure I've left it a better place than I found it.
And I won't have to face God someday, because he likely doesn't exist, and if a Goddish thing does exist, it certainly won't be anything like what you describe him as, because man made religions are all man made.
As I say so...not much I can do if your mind is closed. You'd better hope you're right though.
You should enjoy life. I enjoy good music, or sitting on the back deck and staring up at a million stars in wonder. I appreciate my family, my friends, etc.
But Solomon wrote that in the end, it's all meaningless. You can't take it with you, and someday it will all end. Your life is short and temporary. What will do you do when you have to face God someday?
I agree with my friends. I would rather be free to find my own meanings in my own life than have it imposed on me by some divine being who thinks he knows best.
As for being put up before a god, I think that unlikely. What such an unlikely god would want, or be annoyed about is not for you to say.
If you and I found ourselves up in front of Allah, I wonder which of us he would be more annoyed with? Better not believe in a god than in the wrong one.
