Yes, the Earth is unique in our solar system, but don't put the cart before the horse and assume that a God had something to do with this. It was just a matter of chance that this planet we call Earth wound up in the orbit it is in and is condusive to supporting life as we know it, the key words here are "as we know it". One thing you can be sure of, if it has happened once in nature it will happen again and again and again, nature has shown us this over and over. To assume our uniqueness is only a once ever event is narrow minded to say the least, we are only unique in our solar system.
Actually, when it comes to micro-organisms, we've only begun to explore the possibility of their existence in places other than earth. Until relatively recently, it was thought that life could not exist in extreme heat, cold, radiation or the vacuum of space. However, recent tests aboard spacecraft have proven that simple life forms like certain bacteria, algae and even microscopic animals can do so. So, micro-organisms have been shown to survive in space.
Also, discoveries of meteorites from the moon and Mars in recent years show that it's common for rocks and other material that originate from one world to end up on another. If you add it all up, it is a distinct possibility that micro-organisms have traveled inside material from one planet to another within our solar system at least.
Science has had more than enough ability to find human, or alien life on other planets for years, and that ability is increasing. And they have never found it. You know, whats hard to accept, is that God is real, and that he placed no life anywherelse in the universe for man to find. He specfically designed earth to accomidate his creation of human life on earth, the bible has been right on target with that.
Is there really life out there in the distant universe? Well I think there most defintely is, but its not for man to discover; its simply off limits. We will never know, in this life, those things God does not want us to know. All the vast universe is simply temporary physical chemical existence, all designed to encase the earth as the center of " Gods Universe." Its his, not ours. And hes going to wipe it all out, because he has a universe FAR greater for us to experience!
I sometimes ask myself why? Why did God go through the trouble of creating such a vast, empty universe and only place life on earth? I really don't know; its as if the earth is a giant incubator, and the universe designed to only give birth to it, and then die. And then the earth itself die. But humanity is destined to live on. I think God is right now designing a whole new Spiritual Universe, much larger and grander than we could ever imagine! And we will have plenty of time to explore it and see whatever life God has created and placed on each planet. And I honestly think hes doing that now. He teases humanity with a physical picture of a vast Spiritual universe he has created, " For our own!"
No, this is not science fiction (in case some people haven't been paying attention).
Over the last 20 years, more than 700 hundred planets have been discovered circling stars that are many light years away from our solar system. Recently, even some earth-like planets have been confirmed. Even though no biological life has been detected, with the sheer number of worlds out there, there is the possibility that life exists somewhere in our galaxy.
So, my question is - have these discoveries changed your views about God or religion? Do you think that the existence of such a large number of alien planets is a game-changer in the way humans view their place in the universe?
It will depend upon what religion or what belief you hold; for instance...
In Buddhist cosmology it is mentioned that there are 31 forms of existence; 5 forms are terrestial and 26 forms are extra-terrestial, out of which 6 forms are like humans but have non-organic body; so, no problem with science reporting those findings.
Regarding earth-like planets, it is mentioned further that there are four planets that harbour humanoid forms with organic corpus in various degrees of development.
Ok ..
About the possibility of life in other planets (Aliens) .
Allah said in the Holy Quran : 29. "And among His signs is the creation of heavens and earth, and whatever living creatures He has dispersed in them both."
"Ash-Shura"
Now if the verse said whatever living creatures he has dispersed in earth that could mean it only exist in earth but no the verse said them both & that means there is living creatures in heavens just like earth .

It sounds like the lack of life on other planets falsifies Islam as well as atheism. Wonderful.

It's a bit premature to say that other planets lack life. It takes months or years for the fastest spacecraft humans have developed to even reach other planets in our own solar system. Even now, only a few worlds have actually been landed on. Never mind all the countless other planetary systems in our galaxy which would take thousands of lifetimes to reach.

You lack of knowledge about how we look for intelligent life is stunning. We don't have to visit each planet to look for intelligent life, all we have to do is listen for it. That has been going on for years. There is no such a thing as aliens flying around in space ships.

You do understand that even if great king Xanapaku from the Planet Zebulonium came directly to earth to say hello, the thumpers would figure out a way to interpret the Bible to incorporate his existence.

You mentioned life previously. As for intelligent life, that's a different kind of analysis and one that is highly speculative.
If there are life forms out there that are much more advanced than humans, it's possible they don't even want to contact us or want us to contact them for various reasons. Maybe past experience has taught them the dangers of trying to reach out to alien life forms. Therefore, they may only be interested in being left alone and preserving themselves and their way of life. That's one of my theories anyway.
