Considering the Bold, you are absolutely right and I believe it will prove to be a disaster. We are told to use the "Whole Council of God"
Isaiah 28:13
But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little;
There is an amazing integration of design in the text.
For that, I recommend checking out the following
All Christians are to know their Bible. While it provides instruction for living, the central theme of the message is about the Redeemer "God with Us" Messiah Jesus.

alot of people these days are over zealous with the bible, because in reality its the simplest book ever written in my mind.
I also believe it has been re written by humans, most likely corrupted males. No way God/Jesus would state that women be submissive. As in do whatever as they are told, when god knew the possiblilty of the corrupt.
Also im happy some of the females around understand the wrongness in that submissive line, your brains are working just fine
I find this thread funny especially since most women in America are spiritual or religious in some way shape or form. As an athiest and as an idealist rationalist woken tend to go with guys with religious iconography like a tattoo of Christ or a cross around his neck.
Yeah. I just posted this on the other thread actually. My guy should have same beliefs and values as me. As in he believes in God with all his heart,soul,mind and LIVING it not just lip service.

I'm in the NO camp as well. I certainly had strict requirements for marriage, but none of the gender foolishness. I'm a reluctant atheist as well, so...
Just out of curiosity, why do you refer to yourself as a "reluctant" atheist?
