Have any of you ever read it? A very interesting book. So many different topics come from the book, I think it helps a lot with understanding the idea of the God of the Bible. Enoch gives you a different perspective of God from what I've read.

That different perspective is a big red flag. It's not consistent with the rest of scripture. It's a forgery. It's

Ahh...Enoch...so beloved of God He couldn't wait and swooped him up
into Himself to be with him.
Sigh....

And people still say God isn't homosexual....ha!! I say.

I bet you can make it consistent if you really give it a try, in faith, Vizio.

What perspective of God does the Book of Enoch give which is different from any of the possible interpretations of the God portrayed in the 27 short books in the New Testament, and to the old version of God portrayed in the 39 books in the Old Testament?

That God is neither good nor bad. Also as far as the Book of Enoch goes we humans have it pretty good in comparison to angels. Angels as portrayed in Enoch are basically immortal slaves.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Enoch tells the story of Melchizedek being born fully clothed and able to fly. That would be a big problem. It just isn't of the same "feel" as the rest. It's just not consistent.

Yes. For a Seminary class I did a presentation on the person of Melchizedek and read it because it talks about him.
