Thank You for paying the price.

It is because of you I got to live,
I can not repay what you did freely give.

Deep in my heart your faces I will always see,
please know because of you I live free.

Such a heartfelt prayer Woodrow and thank you for your own service, during a very difficult era for our men and women in the service.

I add a prayer that all our discharged veterans who sacrificed so much both mentally and physically receive the care, treatment and honor deserving of them.

We call it Remembrance Day here. Most Canadians observe it by wearing red poppies on their lapels in the weeks leading up to today, and then having local ceremonies at war memorials.

We honor our Canadian Veterans as well and because of this poem written by a Canadian, John McCrae - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia poppies have become the symbol of fallen soldiers .

Ah, my brother . . . the memories are not so sweet . . . but I embrace the sentiment. I lost my best friend in Nam as so many of us did . . . but oddly it is the ones I killed that most trouble me. There were so many.

I understand my Friend as I too very often wish I had been among those that had their pain end. For those of us who lived, we have to face our memories every time we try to fall asleep.

Some times to be among the living is a great sacrifice.

You know, sometimes it's hard to say anything at all because words can really not do any justification for all the heroes that did not return.Osayi
