If you want to see human nature at work, read what the Israelites did in Chapter 31 in the Book of Numbers.
How does the chapter of G-d's instruction to Moses to wage war against Midianites demonstrate human nature at work? Human nature would've made Israelites fearful and afraid. The Midianites were not exactly a weak nation, one they would've been inclined to wage war against.

Bad example. Try again.

Because it shows how one group of people (Israelites) will kill off another group of people (Midianites) when it is in the Israelites self interest.

That is how humans have always behaved.

That poppycock about some kind of a god telling them to kill the Midianites is just a fairy tale.

Actually, it shows that they won't, unless instructed to do so. Considering that Midian was a superpower and the Israelites were unarmed nomads, human nature made them fearful and hesitant, and they would NOT have entered battle without specific instruction from somebody they implicitly trusted. So you need to find a better example, which you can't.

By the way, by using scripture to validate atheism, you're no better than Christians using scripture to validate their dead mangod. Same bride, different veil. If you don't believe in G-d, then why do you even bother reading the bible? It's certainly not interesting, funny, or relevant. And if it isn't true, why even mention this chapter or any chapter, that is. Why do you assume that the part about the war taking place is true, but not the G-d's instruction part? You either believe the whole thing, or none of it.

You have some 'splainin' to do.

I saw a show about it on TV, so it has to be true.

It's not you're hearing. Its more of not understanding the dialect of Arabic being used and attempting to translate based on a different accent.

That is also a factor. But a 70-80% hearing loss doesn't help

My hearing loss is related to frequency loss. Has to do with inner ear nerve damage. Not evenly divided the sounds I can hear I hear very well the rest are lost. Oddly some very Low Frequencies and some very high ones are what I can hear. Makes for strange listening.

The VA tried several Hearing aids on me, didn't work out very well.

Whatever helps the tribe to survive.

The Americans who hated the Germans and Japanese were probably better motivated soldiers during World War II.
