I'm here working on my computer. We usually get down on our knees at about 11:50 and start to pray as the new year comes. Almost every year we've started the new year on our knees in prayer.
I cooked all day in preparations for my close friends and a few relatives who were coming over tonight. We had a great time tonight and people drifted in and out. We brought in the new year playing rook and that was a treat for me. Oh, and dh was even up playing with us, first time in 26 years he has been awake on New Years.
Happy New year!! May everyone be blessed with a healthy and happy year to come
I stayed home and tried to keep my dad awake but failed lol. When it finally struck 12am my sister and I jumped on him and woke him up, he was a little upset lol

I like this reply....we ALL should be praying at midnight New Years Eve...good for you Marks!
Happy New Year, everyone! I went to a party at my friend's house, drank (not much, since I was designated driver) and watched fireworks from the balcony... they live up in the hills, so we could see Oakland, San Francisco, and lots of other cool shows. I just got home about 2 hours ago, so I'm not ready for bed yet, LOL. Hope you all had a good evening, and here's to a great 2008!!
Me? At mom and dads, spent last night posting on CD then watching the ball drop with my brother-in-law before going to bed!
Wow. I really am getting old!
