Back atcha.

I'm too old to see the new year in anymore. Haven't done it in a few. What's a ball dropping on times square amidst the inane ramblings of Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin? Not worth staying up for.

But the new year is a nice psychological fulcrum for new beginnings. My wife is embarking on new career ventures and I am planning a year of restraint with no travel plans, in an effort to buck up my inadequate retirement savings. Could have started it on November 12 or October 24 as well as Jan 1. But what the heck. Even I am human.
