My VERY, almost militant, devout and dogmatic Catholic,
attorney friend ...picture a fat Ernest Hemingway...
is so scarred about his quad by-pass coming up....as he was with his first stent.

I am thinking a religion is 'supposed' to help you with the fear of death.

I mean why bother if it doesn't give you peace of mind...I don't get that one.

Good.

But some still do need or want or experience an external entity...so that's ok, too, in my book.
Some need rituals, shiney satin robes to honor with pointy hats, statues, holy books, incense...
We are all at different levels. Are any wrong? I don't think so.

But, is it wrong to push something on another...yes...it's like Cinderella's slipper...
one size fits one...imo.
