Your standards are based on the whim of barbaric, superstitious people living 2000 to 4000 years ago. Yeah, I feel SO much safer knowing people like you exist to keep the rest of us moral.

American society has historically believed otherwise. Women have suffered when men are allowed to have more than 1 wife. Do you hate women, cupper? Is that it? Are you bigoted against women? I can't believe you're so hateful.

Why is consent the standard? Do you realize that people in this country actually think a 7 year old can make a decision on what gender they can be? Why would you think that is ok, but it's not ok to allow a child to consent?

I, of course, think pedophilia is a horrible thing. But then, my standards are not based on the whim of society.
Perhaps they are based on the views of the DUGGARS?

God of the OT took care of His closest followers. Perhaps you didn't get multiple wives because you aren't in His fold.

On the other hand maybe it's because our morality has evolved from OT teaching.

You are outright deceptive when you declare it is God's will for one man and one woman. It's done by cherry picking one verse and not reading them in conjunction with others. And it points out the danger of religious viewpoints invented to protect established cultural concepts.

The concepts are a'changin' so either adjust to new cultural ideas or move to Uganda.

Again, for the umpteenth time, you expose your deliberate obtuseness.

You have been schooled, Pastor - time and time again by your intellectual, ethical, and educated betters - that there is a distinct difference between two consenting adults choosing to be together for the rest of their lives and a criminal raping a child.

That you perceive those situations as comparable only exemplifies your lack of basic humanity. You have all the empathy of a reptile.

And less than some of them.

You exemplify all that is wrong with the OT god and those who worship at his psychotic shrine.

To call yourself "Pastor" is to spit on the title.*

*Apologies in advance to June and/or mensa for telling the truth yet again and forcing them to respond to the whiny one(s).

The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries said they found “substantial evidence” that Sweet Cakes by Melissa, in the Portland area, violated the Oregon Equality Act of 2007.
"The law provides an exemption for religious organizations and schools, but does not allow private businesses to discriminate based on sexual orientation, just as they cannot legally deny service based on race, sex, age, disability or religion," bureau spokesman Charlie Burr said in a statement.

The Constitution is not the whole of the law.

Not according to the Supreme Court. Have you actually read the decision or are you just making stuff up again?

Dear Richard Cranium person,

SCOTUS ruled on the 14th amendment concerning EQUALITY, they did not rule on MARRIAGE, just the equal access to MARRIAGE...

States cannot discriminate by refusing equal access and states CANNOT impede the pursuit of LIFE, LIBERTY and HAPPINESS which is exactly what INEQUALITY DOES for a group of citizens.

People do not get to vote on what rights other citizens have. A right for one citizen is a RIGHT for all citizens...
