*Remembering this is the R and S section so I'm not talking about coffee and a shower.
Do you have a little ritual?
Or do different things?
Some people may not have time and might listen to inspirational
things while driving to work, I bet.
What helps you start the day on the right foot?
And if you don't ...what would you like to start doing?
Ok. I need coffee to start unfreezing but first thing is to log on, do some -e -mails. Look at the Forum. It's really more important to start the day than breakfast, even.
You people probably don't know how much you mean to me.

Ha! I do this too, pretty often. A morning dose of some of the regular posters here is quite inspirational, in my experience.
But, Miss H., I do sometimes try to do some form of meditation or deep breathing or some more or less meditative movement (I'm investigating qigong at the moment), because I'm less likely to fall back asleep while moving . And some days I pull out Tarot to get me in a contemplative mode. Or I read something or other that has caught my interest (at the moment I'm trying to read Brother Lawrence because you guys mentioned him in another thread, but as you can see, it hasn't kept my interest). It's all very hit or miss for me, I have to say.
Well, after years of thinking "inspiration" became embedded into my mind. It never really leaves, though everyone's likely to put a different meaning into the word.
As I do not sleep since roughly 3 30-4 am, it gives me long time to think. I also have three "prayers" I say in the shower. They are not really prayers in common sense, they are to instill a particular pattern onto what operates physical body, one is cleansing "mantra" and one is general health "mantra".
Then I drive for over an hour to work - that's another thinking time.
As I said, it never really leaves me.
I also found that by specifically controlling undesired mind outbursts, mental pattern changes. So it's working.
