If a person with tunnel vision only listened to atheists, they would believe that Christians are pretty much the scum of society. They are bullies cramming their beliefs down the throats of non-believers, demanding that they conform and change all the laws to be stamped approved by evangelical Christians.
Atheists just want to be left alone! Live in peace, work and raise their families without Christianity constantly trying to butt into their lives, right? If that is the case, why do we have this:

OLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
Santa Claus says it's OK to skip church this Christmas, according to a series of billboards paid for by American Atheists.
The billboards have been set up in Colorado Springs and in Raleigh, North Carolina. In Colorado Springs, there's one located near Fountain at Exit 128 and another near a Stratmoor Hills neighborhood.
Isn't this loud big billboard doing the exact thing they are complaining about? It is a big whopping advertisement for secularism promoting the value of skipping church. The atheists knew full well that such a message on Christmas would offend a lot of people, but that is obviously the intent.

Sounds to me like they are making a point. From your article....
"We want people to know that going to church has absolutely nothing to do with being a good person," said David Silverman, president of American Atheists. "The things that are most important during the holiday season—spending time with loved ones, charity, and being merry—have nothing to do with religion."
They are saying to be good, not because you think your God wants you to be, but because YOU want to be. What's the problem?

There are many decent Christians who have a live and let live approach, and don't force their faith down the throats of others. I have absolutely no problem with them. It is the proselytising idiots who use threats to try to get people to convert whom I can't stand, they are evil!

No. They don't want to just be left alone. They want the world to adhere to their worldview. We especially see it among internet tough-guy atheists who feel slighted because Mom and Dad made them go to church, so while they're too wimpy to act out in public, they hide behind a username.

Whereas Christians go on the internet, some claiming to be Pastors, and tell people they're going to hell while hiding behind a username.
Of course. I have Jesus to intercede for me. Despite the lies you accuse me of, I'm never going to tell anyone on this board or in real life that they will go to hell--because as long as they live, that can change.

But only if they believe in YOUR God and YOUR religion though, right? All those other billions of people will go to hell..... yea, you can hide behind the fact that you don't tell people they are going to hell, but just because you don't say those words, doesn't mean you don't say that very thing.
