All that saying means is that you should do the right thing because it's the right thing rather than only being good because you think god tells you to. It's simple hypersensitivity to consider this mocking or ridicule.

Those signs are nuts. I wish people were crazy like that here. I've seen a few Islamic signs and Christian signs, but mostly just the regular "Come study with us" or "You're going to hell" stuff.
