Okay, I'm actually getting tired of hearing this*. How dare you assume that about me? That you think I'm so petty that I'm out to destroy your faith? Aside from being slightly paranoid, it's incredibly self-centered to think that we're so gosh-darn small-minded that we're dedicating our lives to destroying your faith.

For the record, it's not 'important' to me to be an <bleep> (which is what you're describing). First of all, I've never met you, and second, I could care less what you believe.

You and I have both had similar experiences (I recounted mine in another thread; you can probably find it if you look). What we have is a belief that it was the work of a deity. We have no proof of that.

The faith was the result of that belief, not its cause.

That is what I was pointing out.

* My first instinct was, for the record, to drop an <bleep> bomb for being so incredibly presumptuous. Walked away for a minute, took a breath and typed with a cooler head.

Like a good, toque-wearing, Tim-buying Canuck.

Oh wait. You're in BC. No need for a toque. And you probably buy Starbucks.*

*Just yanking your chain eh.

Much of BC is beyond Hope, and it can get very cold there.

Just like an Albertan eh, injecting reality into a conversation.

Not only that, but the main road out of Hope leads to Hell's Gate Canyon.

That's right -- when you reach Hell's Gate, you are literally beyond Hope.

New Age believers unwittingly seek deceiving spirits of the netherworld to use as spirit guides. They are into such practices as mediums and contacting the dead. All of which are against God.

Leviticus 19:31. Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them; I am the Lord your God.

Mediums and familiar spirits involve consulting the spirits of the dead. All contact with these or other spirits was strictly forbidden in Israel. It demonstrated lack of faith in and rebellion against God.

"And any teaching or doctrine that is pushed along side Lucifer/Satan should be dropped immediately. This is the enemy of Jesus Christ, who is trying to deceive and lead people into sin and deception before his time is up. Just like he deceived Eve, he baits people with promises of god-hood and ascension, if only they study esoteric knowledge and refuse to obey/follow/seek God. This is the same lie found in the first book of the Bible."

^ This has all become so clear to me, now more than ever.
