I'm sorry old mate, but that is evasion. Slaves who weren't Hebrews were life slaves and could be willed to their children as property.
Even Hebrews could be owned as lifetimes slaves - if they were women. The man you had to let go after some years, but you kept his wife, and if he stayed with his wife, you owned him too.
And you could thrash them, just so they didn't die immediately, and you were good with the Law, and God.
This is not a sort of charitable assistance for the financially embarrassed - it was ownership of fellow Hebrews, and there was no such getting out for Foreign slave at all.
Now, I don't deny that it was the norm at the time, and the Mosaic laws are trying to be fair. But this is the best that men of the time could devise. This is not credibly the pronouncement of a god.
Whatever people think of the bible, each of you are who you are because of it, especially if there was no God, you owe any freedom you have from it, and it has shaped society since it was written, the only problem is, there are few who can read it.
The Mosaic laws are not written for you that you could even understand it. You would have to begin with the knowledge that you are the wife, and you are the servant, you are the calf, and the Bull. Gentiles read the bible and think they understand when they do not understand, they don't see themselves in it, and it is simply a handbook for the human being, and anyone who says different is wrong, and they don't know the religion or the Temple and it's comings and goings.

Count the vertebrae and name it with it's functions. Let us decide that there shall be two kingdoms being that there are two sides of the body, and two separate brains side by side in our head.

It is what it is, people either search for the kingdom of God or they look at it like some strange thing. It has been said over and over and over that they were not given eyes to see or ears to hear, and the same goes with the New Testament where Jesus told us this plainly.

Complete garbage, old son. If we have freedoms and the ability to choose based on knowledge rather than faith (and usually an imposed faith too) the Bible is the last reason for it. Religion and Bible believers have been fighting against "Wordly" knowledge from the time Copernicus turned Bible cosmology inside out, and then Darwin gave it a terminal kick in the Genesids, and they are still trying to fight for what what they can salvage from the car -crash of Christianity. Don't try to tell me that I owe Christianity or the Bible anything.
