Dead missionary John Chau did more to advance the "Jesus is Imaginary" cause than he will ever realize. His zeal for Jesus took him to a remote island in the Indian Ocean. His first words there were "I love you and Jesus loves you!" and
THUNK!
An arrow hits him and he dies.
So much for Jesus' promise to missionaries:

Sounds heartless but in a way I'm glad he was killed. Christians need to see firsthand what happens to them when they rely on Jesus to protect them. One journalist describes him as "self-important, arrogant, deluded, foolish, and a pest".
The media might never have picked up this story and the Chau's death would have been for nothing. But shining a spotlight on the failure of Jesus to save his own proves beyond any shadow of doubt to the entire world that missionaries in hostile territories cannot rely on Jesus to ride to their rescue as so many believe he will.
I hope this is a wakeup call for the thousands of young Christian men and women who are contemplating going into missionary work. I hope they take off the rose-colored spectacles and say, "Crap! Jesus promised he would protect us and he didn't lift a finger to help John Chau. What am I doing thinking I can follow after John? What am doing in the Christian religion, period!"
This is one item Christians in here will not step forward and comment on because what can they say to circumvent a bald failure of Jesus?
This has nothing to do with Jesus. The Quran teaches us not to force our will on others. God gives eyes to see and ears to hear to those who seek. We have free will, which means the freedom to reject God. But just because God allows you to reject him doesn't mean you don't suffer the consequences. And it has nothing to do with God being hypocritical. God will do what he says he will do. The only unbiased arbiter of justice. His faithful are subject to the same punishments as the faithless.
The natives were actually behaving according to Biblical principles. When God handed his people's enemies over to them, he always told them to wipe everyone out. Everyone was to be killed, lest the evil get carried into the new territory. It's why the Israelites spent all those years in the desert. The transgressors couldn't enter the promise land because they would taint the others. Surely the natives on this island saw many tribes get wiped out once they let the invaders into their land. They are doing a better job of living according to the Bible than we are, and they do not have a Bible...
If that doesn't show God is with and in them, I don't know what does.

Interesting take on things.
I was thinking that the missionary got done in because he kept on disobeying God. He made how many attempts to land on that island and got driven away? That was God telling him not to go there. Then finally God said; "For you disobedience, I will let you suffer the consequence!"
The Quran teaches us not to force our will on others? Really? It seems at odds with news reports coming out of some parts of the world. Would you be so kind as to show us where it teaches this?
P.S. I puzzle over why missionaries were so hell bent on spreading "The word". Wasn't it accepted that if someone did not know about the
'word of God' they would not go to hell? So why in heaven's name tell them?
