Believers in eternal torment, how does that sit with your own morals? (belief, Jesus)

Hang on - that doesn't make sense. In John 3:16 it says "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life".
Correct me if I am wrong but Satan believes in Jesus, right? Therefore Satan will be spending eternity in Heaven with Jesus. Right?
Don't confuse them. Their entire Faith is based on Belief, often called "easy believism." They don't have to worry about BECOMING anything, just believing.

The demons (Luke 4:41) believe, and according to James 2:19 the demons believe and tremble.

To be fair, if I understand your belief system, you think that God will just grant eternal life to everyone anyway, right?

It is frustrating to try to communicate with someone who has such a simplistic and misguided understanding of our situation. The ONLY human responsible for connecting us permanently to God is Jesus. We have nothing to do with it. All your angst and concern over salvation is for naught. Jesus accomplished it for us all. BUT we ARE responsible for what we build on the foundation of love and reconciliation that is laid by Jesus. What we have BECOME will determine the quality and character of our afterlife, so we WILL reap EXACTLY what we sow (but no more or no less) unless we have repented or corrected any damage we caused.

So then yes. You do believe all are given eternal life simply by existing.

Your mind insists on simplifying answers to their most simplistic and childish level of comprehension. Our eternal life is the result of what Jesus achieved. It was not just granted. The character of whatever eternal life we will experience will depend largely on what we have built on what Jesus accomplished through agape love. The more we become like Jesus, the more enjoyable our afterlife will be, vice versa.

It helps to summarize it for those watching. And perhaps helps you understand where you're wrong.

OK. So you believe that Jesus achieved eternal life for everyone regardless of whether or not they believe in him, now him, ever pray to him, etc.

Human egos consider fawning, adoration, worship, etc. as necessary and worthy of God but God has no need of any of it. Everything involved in the worship of God or belief in God, or belief in Jesus, or whatever, is ENTIRELY about how it helps us become close to God. It is neither required by nor needed by God. Admittedly, it is definitely harder to get close to God without such belief or effort or concern, but since Jesus, God has "written in our hearts" and the Comforter sent in Christ's name abides with us all within our consciousness to guide us to the Truth.
What we each individually need to become sensitive to the Comforter and get close to God will be different for each of us. You and Charlie need an infallible book. I don't since I have met the "mind of Christ" described in your book. It should be clear to any Christian that the perfect agape love Jesus revealed and unambiguously demonstrated IS the True Nature of God, but it seems it is not.

If there is such a thing as life after death/eternal life then simply believing something will have nothing to do with it. There either is an afterlife or their is not. No amount of believing the right things in the right way will make any difference.
