Weak maybe, but a plausible basis for the example. Show me the thoughts in the brain. Not the electrical impulses, but the conscious thoughts.

Are humans only ones capable of conscious thoughts? What is conscious thought?

Something to ponder....

No science has proved humans, upper primates(gorilla,chimps, and orangutans), whales, elephants all have a specific type of nero receptor that allows higher thought. Humans are just the most capable of all species to use that thought process in a scientific experiment way. Like I said show me conscious thought.

Cold is not the opposite of heat. Heat is thermal energy, and cold is merely a perception of temperature. It only makes sense to compare "cold" to "hot", not heat.

Where did you find this argument? It has been used before, although the argument shows an utter lack of understanding of science.

Many things in that so called letter are hogwash...For instance...Evil is the absence of god. If that were so then why am I and most Atheists not evil, and while so many believers are....As for the ridiculous statements on the observation of evolution, I'll leave that to Rifleman.

If darkness is only absence of light? Why does the Bible state that God "created darkeness"?

Isaiah 45:7

Quote:
7 I form the light and create darkness,
I bring prosperity and create disaster;
I, the LORD, do all these things.

How can you say "God is the absence of evil?"
If God always existed, and God is everywhere, then there should never have been, or ever be, any evil.

The whole brain part is a terrible example as you can clearly examine the professor's brain multiple ways to find physical evidence of its existence. Also, if evil is the absence of god then who created evil. If god created everything then evil must have come from somewhere. Or are you saying evil created itself? I don't understand.
